According to data compiled by Austin Realtor, Sam Chapman and the folks at AGbeat, Nashville is growing by leaps and bounds.  The graph below shows net migration per 10,000 population by Metropolitan Statistical Area from July, 2010 to July, 2011 for the 40 largest MSAs in 2011.

The driving factor in this urban migration is draw of city life over suburban settings. Millennials and Baby Boomers alike are finding more appeal to urban core living than we’ve seen in past generations.

Take a look at those Austin, TX stats. Impressive. I bet the agents that market aren’t feeling the effects of the recession one bit.
