My friends at HND have been talking about it for a while, but I was excited to see the Nashville Business Journal publish an article about the West Mill townhomes that will be coming soon in the Nations.
98 units and a pool are said to be planned for the 2.6 acres at the corner of California Avenue and 57th Ave N. Presently, it is part of Nashville Lumber Co.
HND is developing two types of residences: two-bedroom townhomes, with about 1,150 square feet, and three-bedroom townhomes, each with about 1,425 square feet.

Personally, I’m a big fan of HND development. They’re one of the few builders in town who focus on building affordable properties targeted for first-time buyers. They are prolific developers who have constructed condominiums all over town. Some of their past projects include the Park Melrose, the Row At Berry Hill, Melrose Heights, and Vernon Avenue townhomes. I even own one of their units myself.
If this project mirrors passed developments, these homes will likely only be available to owner-occupants. Generally speaking, HND does not allow investors to purchase units upon their an initial sale.
We plan to retire in Nashville within the next year since our kids and grandkids live near vandy and in Hendersonville. Best, Elizabeth

There isn’t a model as of yet. They are selling so well that there may not ever be a model. All Phase I units are pre-sold and completions will start happening later this year. A list is already being gathered for folks interested in Phase II. Pre-sales for Phase II will begin in a few months, but if you are interested we should get your name on the list now.
HND built a similar product a few years back at The Row at Berry Hill. The 3-bedroom floorplans are nearly identical, but West Mill has a higher finish quality. HND has built the 2-bedroom floorplan in the past too at Waverly Place townhomes.
