My friends at HND have been talking about it for a while, but I was excited to see the Nashville Business Journal publish an article about the West Mill townhomes that will be coming soon in the Nations.
98 units and a pool are said to be planned for the 2.6 acres at the corner of California Avenue and 57th Ave N. Presently, it is part of Nashville Lumber Co.
HND is developing two types of residences: two-bedroom townhomes, with about 1,150 square feet, and three-bedroom townhomes, each with about 1,425 square feet.

Personally, I’m a big fan of HND development. They’re one of the few builders in town who focus on building affordable properties targeted for first-time buyers. They are prolific developers who have constructed condominiums all over town. Some of their past projects include the Park Melrose, the Row At Berry Hill, Melrose Heights, and Vernon Avenue townhomes. I even own one of their units myself.
If this project mirrors passed developments, these homes will likely only be available to owner-occupants. Generally speaking, HND does not allow investors to purchase units upon their an initial sale.
