One Study Say YES!
I’m a firm believer that professional photography is the only way to go when presenting a property to the market. Studies from most real estate sites concur that homes with multiple pictures get far more attention online than listings with few photos. Now, a Redfin study reports that listings offering high-quality SLR photography sell on average from $934 to $116,076 more than homes without great photos.
From reading to comments on the story it’s plain to see that this report has stirred up a little controversy. And it does bring to mind a bit of a chicken-and-the-egg scenario. I mean, who really pays for (or expects) professional photography with an ugly house? At any rate, in my experience great photos are a must-have. They bring more eyeballs online… which results in more viewing appointments… which increases the odds of an offer.
