East Nasville is one of my very favorite “hoods” in all of Nashville. As a Realtor who mainly focuses on urban neighborhoods, I find that I spend a good portion of my time assisting buyers and sellers on the side of the river that the Titans call home. The quaint architecture and amazing amenities make this one of this hippest places around. Oh, and the food – the FOOD!
The east side is actually comprised of a number of “sub-neighborhoods” (Historic Edgefield, Lockeland Springs, Rosebank, Eastwood Neighbors and several others) each one with its own unique feel and history.
With the exception of a few newer condo developments, East Nashville is comprised mainly of well-established neighborhoods constructed from the early 1900’s to the 1940’s. Many have undergone a recent resurgence that started after the great Nashville tornado of 1998 and there is also a ton of new urban infill construction happening now.
East Nashville is home to those who are young and young at heart. A bit of everything: funky, alternative, hipster, established… You name it! Songwriters, artists, and young families have all been attracted to the area.
