[Infographic] What is Mortgage Preapproval?
Chapters

If you are considering purchasing a home in Nashville anytime soon, you will need to have a mortgage pre-approval letter in hand at the time an offer is submitted. While it isn’t technically required, sellers and listing agents will not take your offer seriously without one.

Not only that, it will forge a stronger relationship with your buying agent. You and the agent will both have confidence that you are previewing properties in appropriate price range.

If you are heading out with your agent on a weekend, make sure you have a conversation with a lender before the weekend starts. Agents work weekends, but most lenders do not. If you see the perfect home on Saturday, it will be challenging to get that letter before Monday.
